After I enjoyed a nice Americano over at Alo Cafe, the staff recommended I walk around the corner to visit the Charles Miller House, which is located in the downtown historic district of Scottsdale. Charles Miller was the visionary that brought electricity to Scottsdale in the early 1900's. Thank you Charles Miller!! This historic house now just so happens to be the home of JAM Boutique.
Once I walked into the JAM Boutique there was so much to look at! It's packed with adorable gifts, collectibles, and designer greeting cards. I met Jennifer, the store manager, who also happens to craft and sell unique fabric baskets. She gave me one of her baskets, which is definitely one of a kind! Woke up this morning with a tasty Americano from Alo Cafe! I really enjoyed the rustic, Italian atmosphere out on the patio. I spoke with the owner, Steve, who is a former native New Yorker- great guy! The staff was super and I loved the friendly conversation. This is an ideal spot for our Planet Super Saver fans!

Cien Agaves
Do you like tacos and tequila? Then you must check out Cien Agaves in Old Town Scottsdale! We stopped by this afternoon and enjoyed some spicy island shrimp and shredded chicken tacos. The casual and upbeat atmosphere made it even more enjoyable! This would be the perfect spot to relax at while shopping or after a spring training game. If you can't make it during the day though don't worry, they have quite the nightlife, as well. With over 100 premium, handcrafted tequilas I'm sure you can imagine the fun and exciting scene over at this lively restaurant :) Thanks to the manager Katie for chatting with us and for a fantastic mexican style lunch!

As I was headed over to visit one of our current auto merchants I spotted a neat looking cafe on the corner of 32 and Shea. I immediately decided I had to check it out and pulled a quick left turn (safely of course ;)). When I pulled up to park I noticed the name of the local bistro is "32 Shea"... ironic right? :) What really caught my eye about this place was the enticing tree covered patio with colorful cushions on the chairs. They serve coffee, food, and cocktails and even have a drive-thru for those on the go. But, it gets better... they have a 12 hour happy hour. Yes, I said 12! If you're looking for an urban, modern, and hip place to unwind at I would highly recommend 32 Shea!

Morning Squeeze
I think I am full for the rest of the day! I just enjoyed a delicious "Florentine" egg white omelette full of spinach and light ricotta cheese with a refreshing glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. Can you say YUM?! This restaurant is right in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale and it was packed full of people. The weather is too perfect right now, so I sat outside on the dog-friendly patio and enjoyed my meal right off of the famous Scottsdale Road. The staff was super friendly and the decor inside had a retro feel to it, which was so fun! I am glad I found this place and was able to check it out to share with you guys! This would be an awesome Planet Super Saver deal!

Auto Tip Tuesday!
Do you have leather seats in your car? If so, listen up! Leather car seats are pretty durable and usually don't require much maintenance, but after a few years the seats can become soiled and dirty (like most things after repeated use). To keep your seats looking brand new, use a leather cleaner to remove dirt and stains. Then apply a leather protectant formulated for pigmented or top-coated grain leather (the leather used for most leather car upholstery). Protectants will resist stains and make the upholstery easier to clean the next time. Make sure to choose a protectant that includes conditioners to keep your leather flexible.
